Draft Competitive Contracting Rules Now Available

The draft rules for competitive contracting are now available on the GA website.

General Administration will accept written comment on the draft rules through Nov. 13, 2003. To help manage comments effectively and to ensure that your interests are sent directly to General Administration for consideration prior to filing of the final draft rules, please use the online feedback form.

The final proposed rules will be filed on Dec. 3, 2003. Those will also be made available for comment.

Public hearings on the final proposed rules are scheduled in January 2004.

The Department of General Administration has been meeting with several hundred representatives from business, labor and government for months to create rules that will govern competitive contracting for the new civil service system in Washington.
